A year in the vineyards

The work ine the vines

The work in the vines comes at a hectic pace. As soon as the disbudding has taken place (removing the unnecessary buds at the foot of the vine), the canes need lifting up into place.

This operation takes place over two processes. The first time we bring the training wires (one on either side of the vine) into place, and then we attach them with a type of staple. This allows us to control the vegetal growth until the harvest.

The vines have been flowering since the start of the week. 100 days until the harvest!
